When the light is out And the wire is burned When the circuit is snapped And the glass is spurned
When the switch is fryed And it burns to the touch When you finally notice That it's all too much
There were too many volts In too small a circuit And the wire couldn't take it It just couldn't work it
And when at last you see That the light has gone out You then realise
There was nothing you could do.
